5:23am "Rise and shine, campers," Matt woke everyone early that morning, himself being awake for quite awhile. Peter, the only one awake enough to have heard Matt, groaned and turned discreetly, hoping Matt wouldn't see him and leave them all alone. "I saw you, Pete," Matt said, dashing Peter's hopes for another ten or fifteen minutes of sleep. "Alright, alright, I'm getting up." Peter threw off his blanket and hopped down to the floor from the top bunk he had been in. The small room was cramped, so he nearly ran right into the wall. He slipped his robe on and woke everyone else up, then went to go shower and get prepped for the day.
When everyone was awake and ready to start the day, they gathered in the conference room for a briefing. The weather was clear outside and it wasn't too cold; they were going to check out Jill's friend's apartment, like Matt had said. "Supposedly there's something about the wall at the apartment," Matt told those who didn't already know. Jill had told him early that morning, and he had agreed to check it out. "What's so strange about the wall?" Lindsay asked, interested. "It's not really the wall itself, but what's on it," Jill told Anton, Lindsay, Matt and Peter, being somewhat mysterious. "Okay, then what's on the wall?" "A mirror." Everyone looked at Jill strangely. They hadn't done anything with strange mirrors before. "You can sometimes see strange things in it like, a parallel universe or something. It's weird." "When are we leaving for the apartment?" Peter asked. "Soon. Get your tech stuff, Pete. Anton, I'm hoping nobody will get hurt, but bring your med bag, just in case. Lindsay, you bring your self, and I'll bring mine. Get packed, everybody!" Matt instructed his team. They all got up to get their stuff and get ready to go. |
